FireFox: Store Your Favorite Images While Browsing

Surfing the web, have you ever come across an image you like that you wanted to save? If that happens a lot to you, you could use a tool to easily save the pictures you like for you in the least number of mouse clicks possible.

Rosa.ly is just that tool. Within a few simple steps it gets the job done. Rosa.ly is a Firefox add-on that can also be used as a bookmarklet. To use it however, you first need to sign up with them for a free account. Once that has been done, you can move forward with obtaining the add-on in its original or bookmarklet form.

The way bookmarklet works is really simple. To test it out, let’s head on over to Google Images and search for ‘flowers:’

In order to save any image to Rosa.ly, simply right click on it and select ‘Save image to rosa.ly’ or click on the bookmarklet once and then click on the image you want saved. This is the screen you’ll see in either case:

From this panel, you can add titles to a picture, a description, and even tags. This picture will be saved to your Rosa.ly account. You can later access this picture by logging into your Rosa.ly account.

The picture formats that can be stores are JPEG, GIF, and PNG. You can keep on saving images in your Rosa.ly account until you’ve reached the 100 MB limit.

Rosa.ly is a creative, simple-to-use online tool that can come especially in handy when you’re using the internet on somebody else’s computer and have no physical means (flash drives, for instant) to save the image in and transport to your own personal computer.
