Facebook got many smoking out the ears. Big time. Didn’t the giant social networking company ever hear the saying, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”? Looks like they haven’t, because a recent frontpage “upgrade” ticked off a lot of users. At the very least, the company should have warned its army of loyalists!
So lets get to the bottomline: for those who dislike the confusion between “News Feed” and “View Live Feed,” there’s an easy way to upgrade Facebook back to its old self:
1. Jump to the Facebook home page and click the More link at the bottom of the lefthand column.
2. Locate the Status Updates option. Click, hold it down and drag it to the topmost of that column.
3. Here’s the easy part. Select Status Updates to load that view. Et Voila ! Now your feeds come in the old way before last week’s vexing change!.
There you have it. Facebook back to the way it should be. Here’s how feeds should look:
Now before you leave, may I ask a favor? Visit your privacy settings and disable the option that lets facebook notify all friends when you comment or like other’s photos. Getting scores of such useless notices on your page wastes a lot of people’s time!
