That’s right. No cost to you. There’s a catch though- the person 
getting your SMS will have to shed the wallet. But does it really matter, especially if the person getting the message is your in-law or the guy who used to pick on you in the sandbox.
Word of advice: Just don’t send such messages to the Missus. Or the girl you’re dating. You’ll come off cheap.
In order to break free from SMS costs, merely enter the person’s phone number, along with the appropriate carrier-specific e-mail address from the following list into your email. Once received, the outcome appears as as SMS text message.
Be sure that the digits you enter consists of no more than ten with no dashes (example: 6969696969).

My friends regularly use the service to the chagrin of the recipients. There’s no delay during sending, but a reply costs a pretty penny. It’s about the same rate that YahooMessenger chargers for cell replies to the YM client.
