Steve Jobs Name CEO Of Decade

Fortune Magazine has named Steve Jobs as the CEO Of The Decade. The magazine has stated that not only did Steve succeed in the personal computer business but he also succeeded in selling music, movies and mobile phones. So while being successful at one business is quite enough for most, he has gone ahead and made a success out of four businesses till date.
And if the tablet rumors are anything to go by, we might be seeing him making his way towards his fifth success – the print industry. He also made it through serious health issues and is back to working again at full steam, showing his dedication to his work. [read]
Apple To Allow Reserve And Pick Up Of Products From Apple store

Apple has a nice gift in store for its customers come this holiday season. The company will allow customers to log into the Apple website using their Apple ID, select a store location and then select products that they want to buy.
These products will then be reserved for them and they can pick them up in between 19-24 December. This will help them avoid the long holiday shopping lines and the disappointment of realizing that their chosen product is out of stock. It will also help Apple to know exactly how much to stock for the holiday shopping rush. After all, no one wants to turn away customers. Especially not in this market.
You will have to pay the full amount when you pick up the product and nothing before that, which again is something that shoppers are sure to like. The service is online right now. [read]
The Very First French Apple Store Opens In Carrousel Du Louvre
Apple could not have picked a better place for its first French Apple Store. Opened this morning (7th November), the shop is underneath the glass pyramid that sits at the entrance to the Louvre, in a commercial area called Carrousel du Louvre. If there’s one iconic place in the city of Paris (after the Eiffel Tower) it is the Musée du Louvre. The timeless collection that is housed in that museum can only be matched by the heritage and legacy of the rest of the city. [read]
iPhone Coming to Verizon in 2010 [?]
Rumor has it that Apple is making a brand new version of the iPhone for running on the Verizon CDMA network. It will apparently take advantage of the LTE network as well or at least it is being tested out on the LTE network.
This, after the aggressive Droid Does iPhone-bashing campaign, is a little hard to believe. But I have said it before and I will say it again – sometimes it is all about business. Customers are terribly dissatisfied with AT&T and that is probably an understatement. So when Apple’s contract with them ends next year (as believed by most people), Apple will do themselves a lot of good by going to the number one carrier in the country. [read]
$99 iPhone 3GS 8GB Version On Its Way [?]

Another rumor suggests that a $99 8GB iPhone 3GS will be available from AT&T in time for the holidays. This is just a rumor at this point but it might make a lot of business sense for the carrier. The tough economy pretty much ensures a paltry holiday season and everyone needs to do whatever they can to attract buyers. Plus, if Apple’s contract with the carrier really does end next year and if Apple really does go to Verizon, then they will probably do anything to capture as many contracts as possible before the winds change direction.
