Watch FIFA World Cup 2010 Draw Live Online & Top Ten World Cup Goals

The draw for the greatest sporting event in the world is happening today.  No, it’s not the superbowl (sorry to my American friends), but the FIFA World Cup 2010.  Only the Olympics comes close to the football world cup, with over 1 billion people watching the last world cup final.  The number next year will surely be much bigger as the attraction of the beautiful game just keeps growing.

The draw for the FIFA World Cup 201 Draw starts at  1715GMT and will be done by the beautiful  Charlize Theron and the excitement is growing as countries wait to see who they will be playing next year.  The draw this year is going to be very interesting as although most of the top teams are in pot 1 and will thus avoid each other, there are some very strong teams in pot 4 who will be pitted against pot 1 seeded teams:

  • Pot 1: South Africa, Brazil, Spain, Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Argentina, England
  • Pot 2: Japan, South Korea, North Korea, Australia, New Zealand, United States, Mexico, Honduras
  • Pot 3: Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameroon, Nigeria, Algeria, Paraguay, Chile, Uruguay
  • Pot 4: France, Portugal, Slovenia, Switzerland, Greece, Serbia, Denmark, Slovakia
