Modded my Xbox - wow!

I successfully managed to mod my Xbox over the weekend. This was my secound attempt after frying my first Xbox.

I have to say that it has been definitely worth the effort and I’ve been very impressed with Xbox Media Centre.  This media player allows me to play films, music, and to view photos located anywhere on my home wi-fi network. It works by streaming the content so that the whole movie doesn’t have to be transferred to be viewed. Once I’d optimised the buffer sizes the experience was amazing and it was so much nicer to watch downloaded content on my TV rather than on my PC.

The experience has given me my first Media Centre experience and I’m a believer. It’ll be interesting to see what happens to the way we watch TV over the next 12 months as various PVR/VoD services get launched in the UK as well as the next-gen consoles.
