More Broadband Users In The UK Than Dial-up

Broadband in the UK has moved on a lot since I was part of BT’s ADSL trials back in 2000. According to Ofcom, the number of broadband households in the UK has overtaken those with dial-up connections for the first time with 8.1m broadband homes.
Back in 2000 a 512Kb connection cost £50 per month - now you can get a 512Kb connection for £10 and a 1Mb for £20. Where do you think we will be in 12-24 months time? I think the ‘entry-level’ level service will be at least 4-8Mbs as LLU allows ISPs to create their own services, although I think some capping will be involved.
