Blogging
Grrr! I can’t blog from Flickr (or can I?)
Just saw an extremely funny photo in my ‘Latest London Photos’ Flickr feed (bottom left of the page) that I wanted to post. Unfortunately blogware wasn’t listed as an option on Flickr’s site - is there any other way to add a Flickr picture?

Ok, I think I’ve worked out why I thought my AdSense ads aren’t targeting. I checked Google to see how often it is crawling my site and it is only crawling my site every 2-3 days. I think this is why when I look at my most recent posts Google is displaying generic [...]

Another great article from Darren on what to do and how to capitalise on the extra traffic if a blog higher up in the food chain links to your blog.
In the last week or so this has been happening to me as my blog is featuring more and more on bigger blogs/sites, and I've [...]
Yahoo Launches RSS News Site
Yahoo! has launched a brand new news site that you can use to read any RSS feed. Great news I think, as many portals need to remember that they are better at aggregating content not producing it.

Great post by Chris that questions the quality of the latest Star Wars Trilogy.

At Uni I got sucked into [...]
If only I was making this kind of money from blogging…..
I’m still shocked by how much money some blogs are making. This article tracks some of the biggest blogs. Imagine making $100K in a week from a personal website -some portals don’t make that much! I received my first AdWords statement the other day - let’s just say I have a long LONG [...]

Great article by Steve Rubel on Micro Persuasion which explains how tagging works in simple terms and then discusses how tagvertising could create new opportunities for marketers.
Essential reading.
Are blog aggregators attractive to advertisers?
Did Volvo Miss an Opportunity with MSNSpaces on Problogger got me thinking about whether portals can realistically expect to sell more advertising from the extra page impressions generated by blogging services. Both Darren, Problogger’s author, and Henry Copeland over at BlogAds believe that advertisers would get a better return on their exposure by sponsoring some big [...]

Podcasting for the masses? The BBC will podcast up to 20 more radio shows – including sections of the Today programme and selected Radio 1 speech content - as it extends its download trial.
Simon Nelson, Controller of BBC Radio and Music Interactive, revealed that more programmes - will be available to download and podcast [...]
Free Hit Counter
I’ve had a few people hitting my blog recently looking for a Blogware hit counter. I’ve removed the one I was using as I found that it wasn’t accurate as it (obviously) didn’t pick up the people reading my posts via RSS readers. Anyway, if you are still looking for a free hit [...]
