Marriage. Like death, it is inevitable. Ultimately you will encounter that one “right” person and make the leap, or maybe you will simply reach that point where it dawns on you that if you don’t hurry up and pair off with somebody you are going to grow old and die alone.
We are all selfish creatures, to one degree or another. Marriage will drive that last trace of selfishness out of you like nothing else. It’s like going from a dictatorship to a democracy, and those who aren’t prepared to learn the subtle arts of compromise and diplomacy are headed to divorce court. As Connected Internet’s primary focus is technology and the internet, I have compiled a short list of Tech And Internet Don’ts For The Newlywed Or Soon To Be:
The toy company Lego is working intensely on a multiplayer online game or MMO. The game is launched in 2009. Children all over the world can now play with Lego bricks across boundaries.
The game is called Lego Universe and it’s said to be part World of Warcraft and part playing with toys. Virtual Lego bricks here we come.
You control a classic Lego figure, your avatar, that develops his or her skills as you play.
Lego Universe is built like a just like a classic MMO with missions, that earns you money and bricks, but the social and creative part of the game is what drives it forward. You will be rewarded extra for solving missions creatively.

Blogs and forums are already aflame over Grand Theft Auto IV freezing during or after the opening cutscene. According to several rumours this happens on both Playstation3 and Xbox360, but not to every gamer.
Rockstar hasn’t officially confirmed the problem and there is no fix released yet.
Most of the crashes happens on Playstation3s with 60 Gb hard drive, though several Xbox360 owners have the same problem.
The 9+ pages on the Playstation Forums recommend that Playstation3 owners delete the game data from the harddrive and then reinstall the game, but according to Rockstar support, this isn’t a guarenteed solution.
They also recommend that you run the latest firmware and have space on your harddrive.
In 1990 those of you who hadn’t adopted the Sega Genesis early were still using Nintendo’s venerable NES as your videogame console. The NES had a big library of games that appealed to a wider audience than games ever had, and marked the beginning of true mass market appeal for videogames. In retrospect the Genesis wasn’t a huge leap forward for videogame graphics, but back then it sure seemed like it. Games like Ghouls and Ghosts, Revenge of Shinobi and Altered Beast sure felt like you had an arcade in your home for the first time, instead of severely compromised home ports of familiar arcade games.
Enter SNK’s Neo Geo system. I remember seeing these in the arcades when the Neo Geo MVS first started hitting arcades back then. There is no way to describe to someone who wasn’t around back then just how phenomenal these games looked. There was no system that could produce the detail and color that you saw in Neo Geo games, arcade or home. It wasn’t long after the debut of Neo Geos in arcades worldwide that SNK gave us the home version of their arcade hardware. At $649 for the system and $200+ for the larger-than-VHS-cassette game cartridges, the system was out of the reach of most. I remember thinking how crazy $200 was for a game. That’s what you paid for a system back then. Like most, at that time I didn’t jump in because of the prohibitive buy-in price.
Videogames evoke a nostalgic response in many of us. They take you back to a different time; fond memories of what you were doing back then, and the immersive experiences you enjoyed while playing them.
In the mid-90s the Sony Playstation achieved dominance with a game buying public crazy for 3D. So lopsided was the Playstation’s victory over the competing Sega Saturn that it shortened the lifespan of the Saturn in the North American and European markets. I didn’t buy a Saturn until the fat lady had already sung, and the system was on it’s last release or two in my market. When I did get one, I marveled at what an insanely great gamers’ system it was, and wondered why there hadn’t been more buzz during it’s lifespan.
