Hi, I’m Sandy And You’ll Love Me as Your Personal Assistant

Okay, I can’t walk your dog or fetch you coffee, but you’ll never find a better personal assistant than I. With me, you’ll never miss a ballgame with your son because of ‘too much work on your mind’. Neither will you piss off your boss because you flubbed a deadline. And yes- I play cupid by reminding you to buy a cake for the wifey on your anniversary! And that’s just for starters. I will also goad you to your dentist no matter what the excuse. I can also promise you’ll never get cold water because you (un)intentionally forgot to pay the utility bills. Oh yes. You want me. Bad.

Overclockers UK: Great Customer Service

Overclockers UK

Normally when I write a post about an online store e.g. Pixmania, it’s to warn readers not to shop there. However, after my most recent experience with Overclockers UK I have to do the exact opposite and encourage people to shop there.

I’ve spent a small fortune over the last month upgrading my PCs, TVs, speakers and Amp in anticipation of moving to a new flat. For the PC upgrades I used the components from my main PC to build a new Media Center, and I purchased new parts from Overclockers UK (Abit IP35 Motherboard, OCZ 2×1GB PC-2-8500 and Q6600) including an overclocking guide to go with my existing SwiftTech watercooling to upgrade my main PC.

Review: Toshiba HD XE1

Toshiba HD XE1Most HD DVD players and disc may sport a lower price than Blueray players but they’re beaten technically by the latter’s built in 1080p support. This changes with the launch of Toshiba’s HD XE1. Now HD DVD has a champ that can best the Blueray camp.

I purchased the Toshiba just last week and find it pristinely built. The almost all metal case tells you that this is something that won’t break in the near future. It’s styling is sleek and hefty simultaneously- reminiscent of the roaring 80’s. Think betamax player! I love the elegant remote: clad in chrome, it bears a lot of sensual heft and weight. A far cry from the plasticky remotes of competing brands. You feel like you’re wielding a stick of platinum, not recycled chinese castoffs. Oh, the buttons are laid out nicely and lovely to press!

That’s just the aesthetics. Let’s look inside.

Max Web Design Blog

I’ve just received my first sponsored review request via ReviewMe to write a post about a fellow blog. To be honest I found it quite hard to start the review as it’s rare that a first visit to a blog is to its homepage. Normally, the first visit is via a link direct to a post from another blog, so you already have an idea of what to expect.

So what is Max Web Design all about? Well, within the site Robert covers a number of topics to help readers improve web design, as well as marketing and search engine tips.

Customise Your Browser Homepage With HomePagle

I’m not sure who the HomePagle service will appeal to….maybe I’m just too old and unable to  see the point of the service.

HomePagle, who purchased this sponsored review, allows you to create a free custom internet homepage using either your own picture, or one from their image library.  Once the image is uploaded a custom homepage is created like below with your image set as the background.
