My 250GB external HDD doesn't work with Vista and I've got my eyes on a 1TB replacement.  Made me realise that my storage levels are reaching insane levels, and I was wondering how much other people have.

300 GB external hard drive. I had to buy it when the 250 GB one went bust (well, it's corrupted but I haven't had a chance to retrieve the data yet) but 1TB sounds amazing!

Internal/External storage drives? Cheesy I'm wondering about this because I worry about the life span of the externals (since I use a laptop) My first one lasted just under 3 years (ie. it still works but the data suddenly became corrupted?) The second corrupted in less than 6 months, and this one is still going strong.

Are there any tips that you can give to keep the drive... uh... healthy? Smiley
Thanks!
