I've been toying with either buying some text links or Adwords for a couple of months now.

i think buying text links is a no-go as I can achieve the same effect by getting other blogs to link to me or by finding free directories.

But, what do you think about buying Google Adwords?  Is it a cost effective way of getting more traffic?

Facebook.com has some pretty good deals on ad impressions. You can get 20,000 targeted ad impressions for $20. I haven't tried it yet.

Adwords, and other PPC programs, can help increase your site's visibility and get your name "out there" so running PPC ads can definitely benefit your site.  Just be careful when choosing keywords though, you don't want your ads to appear on sites whose content do not match what you are offering.

new to the forums, so Hi All !!!!    Cheesy

Paid search (Adwords) can be very effective, but you need to target your kw's properly.  Seekt hose phrase that arent researchers and you have a better chance of converting.

With regards to match types, ALWAYS start with "phrase" match or [Exact] match.  Never start of with a raft of board matches, cos it will cost you a fortune and you wont make any money.

Finally, same with SEO, target less competitive keyphrases that are (a) cheaper and (b) still very targetted,

As for not buying text links becasue your blog links are working, Google likes marketing mix, so always best to add variety to your types of link.

Good luck !
