Apologies to all those waiting patiently in the Pimp My Blog queue, but I've promoted this request as it's a bit different and because it should be quite interesting.  Brajeshwar (who just happens to be a top 100 digger) is on the verge of releasing a new WordPress theme Lets Mint and would like to enlist the Connected Internet team to apply some final tweaks.

Brajeshwar would like to enhance the revenue potential of the theme but still managing to keep the theme clean and crisp.  Please have a look at the site before adding any ideas in the forum.

Remember that the idea behind Pimp My Blog is that all readers help the chosen weekly blog, rather than just the usual suspects. Between us we can make a noticeable difference within a week to the Lets Mint theme.

If you would like your site to be included in a future Pimp My Blog then please submit your blog here. Don’t forget that the forum contains many other tools & tips that can be utilised whilst you are waiting.

if its about Lorem Ipsum,
it definitely is a clean textual theme. A link unit can be placed horizontally alongside the navibar on top.

From little me: I think keeping it fairly black/grey/white is a good idea... as its going to be a 'base' from where modifications can be made. So long as its fairly easy for the user to change the styling to e.g. make different sections different colours... ^^

I was also wondering about the 'Latest posts' sidebar links - not every single one of them has an underline when the mouse hovers over it (with Firefox 1.5.10)  is this intentional?

Perhaps he should make the code xhtml valid as well as the css. Today many theme developers only concentrate on the aesthetic look, me including and forget much about the actual code which could infact clutter the crawlers when they get to your blog. Validating should be a must Smiley

Great theme indeed Smiley keep up the good job... keep us informed when it's lauched...

Is it not validated? Sorry, I had assumed it must be for some really odd reason and never checked. ^^ My bad.

Maybe decrease the width of the two columns on the right side and expand the first column and put a little more white space in between them and between the posts.  It's very cleanly done but a bit text heavy.

It's best to have just one alignment. Here, blog title, tag and page titles are centred and the rest of the site is left aligned.

I'd keep everything left aligned. Centre alignment is very hard to make work, as it is hard to read and best kept to  wedding invitations and other fancy things. Maybe make page section font just a tad smaller too.
