I've got this strange problem that only started since I flashed the BIOS on my board and installed

a Toledo X2 3800+ dual core. I had a single core A64 before that. Basically what happens is during

boot, just after post just as the WinXP logo screen is about to appear everything seems to freeze

for exactly 60 secs. The XP logo actually fades from black to the normal screen and the freeze

occurs just as its starting to fade in, only about 10% of the logo is visible. After the freeze

the boot resumes at normal speed and everything is normal.

The guys over in Gaming have been trying to debug this for me but so far we haven't been able to

get Windows to reveal what is making it hang during boot. I thought I'd better bring in the

experts from the Windows forum So is there a way to determine what is causing the hang?
