I'd like to reward members of MyBlogLog community by linking everyday to at least one post from the site of a member of MyBlogLog Community.  I can’t promise that you’ll get thousands of page impressions, but hey, every little helps.

Because there are too many members for me to check all of your sites daily, please submit your post suggestions here. Please only post something you think is good or that fellow readers will be interested in, otherwise I’ll just ignore all of your suggestions.

Among other suggestions would be a post on learning to focus if your trying to monetize your blog. The Internet and the wild west in the US (at least) have much in common.Maybe even more niched the Gold Rush in Alaska which greatly benefited many merchants and did little for the bottom line of those who got struck by "gold fever". One suggestion for focus would be a mentor who has experience in this area.Another would be to create a list of goals, stick to ther goals or put another way if it isn't on the list don't start it. Ask yourself could you get away with a lack of focus at work?

There are number of factors which will determine how much traffic you will get to your blog. If you want to DIY then you have to go through some basic SEO learning steps.

First few steps are easy you have to just create some Valuable content which people will love and it should be unique should hold its worth. Then do some basic SEO Tweaks on your websits. Afther the Web Page Optimization and creating a keywords rich content next step is where you would focus on brining traffic on your website ...

Well i'd say that you have to focus on

1) Submit your Write up to PR and Aritcle Web directories. (Ezine articles, Go Articles, 212 Articles etc.)

2) Submit your blog/website to Social Bookmarking websites. (Digg, Technorati, Delicious etc)

3) Join some good forums and websites in your niche and start networking.

4) Add valuable comments that will add value to the previous post and then the readers will follow you 2 cents back to your website.

5) Jumping in the Search Page Ranking (Backlinks Building Campaign) [ Submitting Free Articles, Adding Valueable Comments on websites and forums, Using Social Networking Websites to get traffic and backlinks]

had a little short time otherwise would have properly given detailed suggestion on how to bring traffic. The main thing is don't just rely on one type of activity.

Its a bunch of activities that you have to perform whcih will result in getting traffic and from then onwards you next target should be how to retain that traffic.

I found a good way to get traffic is to email big bloggers when you think you have a post that will interest them, or to leave a trackback on one of their posts that will get their attention, and then followup with an email.

Well said ... if you want to get into the bigger games .. Everton's Tip is a "MUST FOLLOW"

I usually do that ... keep a track of all the big guns in my niche and whenever they post I do follow up with them ... " If you can't fight them [ Join them ] :-) and benefit from them :-)

I keep all their addresses in a mailing list and then delete the inappropriate ones e.g. if the post is techie, then I delete people like Darren Rowse.  They are just as in need for story ideas, so as long as you only send good stuff, they will read.  A second benefit is they might subscribe to your blog once you've brought it to their attention, which means you don't have to alert them anymore.  This has happened for me with lifehacker, who link to me naturally every now and then.
