AntiLeech Plugin To Stop Splogs - Does It Work?

Ajay wrote yesterday in his weblog tools column about the AntiLeech plugin that stops splogger bots from:

accessing your site. It does this by producing a fake set of content that includes links back to your site and sends it only to them.

Does anyone have any experience of using this plugin that they can share? Splogs drive me mad and I hate them using my posts, so if the AntiLeech plugin works I’ll install it straight away.

Pimp My Blog Week 12: techtites.com

Techtites

Up for a pimping this week we have Ajay again with his second site techtites.com. Ajay has asked for help with:

  • Link building
  • Increasing CTR
  • Ad placement
  • Affiliate schemes
  • Template optimisation

Ajay made a lot of changes to his personal site following his last Pimp, so it’ll be interesting to see how we fare this time.

Please have a look at the site before adding any ideas in the forum.

Expand IE7 With IE7pro

ie7pro

Whatever you think of Microsoft, they definitely put out a good product in IE7. At the moment my browser usage is split 50:50 between IE7 and Firefox, which is impressive when you consider I refused to use IE6 and I’ve only been using IE7 for about 2 months. I don’t know if it’s my imagination, but webpages look better in IE7.

Ajay has uncovered a great addon for IE7 called IE7pro that makes a good product even better. IE7pro adds six features to Internet Explorer, including Tab Management, Ad Filters, Drag and Drop and Mouse Gestures. If I can find a way to do inline search with IE7 in addition to these features I might totally leave FF behind.

What’s your browser of choice?

What Stats Service Do You Use?

Reinvigorate

At work I’m a stats whore. In fact my background is in maths. Although I left University with an Economics degree, I actually got my place on a maths course although I changed within weeks when I worked out that I wasn’t nerdy enough to study maths at degree level!

When I had more time to devote to my blogging stats I used to pour over them nearly everyday. But, now that I have to be more disciplined about my daily blogging time I now use Google Analytics, because it gives me a good quick snapshot that seems accurate.
