Blogging Tips: Interlinking And Date Stamps
A recent post on problogger reminded me of two tips I got from my initial meeting with Blogware that got me into blogging.
Blogware explained that two of the reasons why blogs fared so well in search engines was because of interlinking and time & date stamps.
Interlinking
(i) Search engines tend to rank more highly pages [...]
New Feed Suggestion - MSN Filter
MSN have a launched a new service MSN Filter which is basically a collection of blogs run by MSN that link to the the latest music, sports, TV and tech news found by their team of bloggers. Sounds suspiciously like Weblogs but still probably worth adding to your daily reads, particularly as RSS is [...]

The stats that come as standard with blogware are very good but after reading a post on Problogger comparing various stats packages I decided to try out a few to see if I could obtain any extra useful information.
After trying out a few services I’ve plumped for statcounter.com which offers for FREE data on how [...]
MyBlogLog
I just read a story on Problogger about MyBlogLog which tracks what links site visitors click on to leave your site. Even though I don’t have any adverts on my site where I need to track their effectiveness I think this data will be invaluable as it will tell me where my hotspots are and [...]

There’s a good article on how Darren Rowse of Problogger got blogging.
Darren runs about 15 blogs in total and his biggest gets 11-16K DAILY visits - this is huge! Times this by 15 (obviously not all of his blogs are this big) and you can start to understand how probloggers make money.
Guess I’ve still [...]
Earning Milestones
Hmm maybe I should take blogging more seriously. Darren Rowse of Problogger fame cashed more money from his latest monthly adsense cheque, than he made in the whole of 2003.
I recently removed the ads from this blog as too many ads were coming up for blog services and I didn’t want to upset blogware [...]
Problogging - how much can you really make?
Jason Calacanis of Weblogs has announced that they are generating $2K per day on Google Adsense. Darren of Problogger thinks that this could be increased by 10% per day if they included ads within the content.
The figures may sound impressive, but Weblogs run 78 blogs - that’s an average of $26 per day or [...]
Autoblogger
What a great tool! I’ve been using Autoblogger for a few days now to generate extra posts. Autoblogger automatically creates posts based on your writing style - great for when you don’t have time to make a post.
