Telewest To Trial UK’s 1st HDTV service And Launch PVR In Q1 2006

BSkyB Looking at Internet Services
In a not very suprising move BSkyB today said that they are looking at adding new pay-TV services, and that it may eventually move to a hybrid platform of satellite and broadband delivery. Analysts have noted that BSkyB rents rather than owns satellite capacity, so it could move towards Internet distribution over time.

Sky To Offer Movies Over Broadband
In response to ntl and Telewest launching VoD services, Sky has just extended its online content to also include movies on demand.
Over 200 movies will be available for download and in the future there will also be a dedicated personal media player.

Big Brother TV On 3G mobiles
Orange will be among several 3G operators to offer mobile TV services this summer. The channel line-up will include ITN News, CNN and two channels dedicated to the reality shows Celebrity Love Island and Big Brother.
