Greatest Invention since 1800

BBC Radio 4 did a survey to find the greatest invention since 1800. Surprisingly, well for me anyway, the bicycle came out top with half the vote.
Apparently, the bicycle won for its simplicity of design, universal use, and because it is an ecologically sound means of transport.
The full results were:

What is Epic? Google to merge with Amazon?

The video below predicts the outcome of a merger between Google and Amazon, and presents a pretty bleak prediction for the future of the media and the web - is this the future of blogging/news/media?
Thought provoking stuff, though I’m not sure it’s that realistic.
