Wi-Fi Skype Mobile

Skype’s CEO recently confirmed that a Wi-Fi enabled Skype mobile will be out this year.
It will be interesting to see how it copes with roaming - moving between GPRS/3G to Wi-Fi when available. I seem to remember reading somewhere that GPRS is currently too slow to run Skype.

Skype will be available on Symbian phones in 2005

Straight from the horses mouth, well Skype’s CEO’s. At the Voice On the Net (VON) conference in Toronto Skype’s CEO said they were working on mobile versions.
Skype currently runs on Mac OSX, Windows and Pocket PC, Skype plans to release a version for Embedded Linux, Symbian or Windows Mobile devices later this year.
