Thief Uses GPS To Steal Cars
I know that you shouldn’t ‘applaud’ criminals, but sometimes you can’t help but admire their ingenuity.
Master criminal Mitsuhisa Kobayashi thought he had a foolproof way to steal cars. He would get his ex-wives to rent cars in which he would install a GPS tracking device, as well as making a copy of the key. [...]
Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 Video Preview
The more I see of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1, the more I want one. After four back to back Nokia S60 phones (6630, 6680, N80 and my current N95), I’m dying to use something a bit different and the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 seems to fit the bill.
The Xperia X1 It has a [...]
TomTom Launch New GO 730 And GO 930 GPS Devices
Last September I invested in a TomTom GO 720 GPS device and a Dension Gateway 500 for my new car. The TomTom GO 720 has been a great performer, despite occasionally it has tried to wipe me out by sending me down non-existent roads! The voice recognition is very impressive, and the extra [...]

Week to week, I’m not sure if I like my Nokia N95 or HTC S620 more. It’s a tough battle between Windows Mobile 6 and Symbian, as I love the QWERTY keyboard on the HTC S620, but then I start missing the Nokia’s browser and better phone features.
I think for now the Nokia N95 [...]
GPS Tracking Key - Who Would You Spy On?
A few years ago if you’d asked me if I needed a GPS system I would have said no. But a year ago I purchased a TomTom Navigator 6 and recently I’ve replaced it with a TomTom Go 720, and now I don’t know how I’d live without a GPS unit.
I’ve always wondered what [...]
Dension Gateway 500 iPod Integration Review
It’s been a long time since I’ve had some new toys to play with, and just like the buses, three come along at once!
Last month I got 3 new toys to play with which were all related to a new car purchase - a Dension Gateway 500 iPod Car Integration Kit, a TomTom Go 720 [...]
How To Get Your Money Back For Nokia N95’s Poor GPS Service
I’ve posted a few complaints about the Nokia N95’s terrible GPS service. My main beef was that I paid to upgrade to a service for 3 years, which takes ages to find my location and is so slow at updating that it can’t be used when driving.
I understand that Nokia probably felt under pressure to [...]
The King Of Car GPS Units: TomTom GO 720
My credit card has been taking a bit of a hammering recently, but luckily I’ve got some new gadgets to play with as a result.
One new toy that I’ve had for two weeks now is the latest GPS unit from TomTom, the GO 720. It’s an amazing little unit which showcases tonnes of [...]
Nokia N95 GPS Improved With A-GPS Feature
It seems that Nokia are in the process of improving the GPS function on the Nokia N95 through a firmware update. The new update for the Nokia N95 includes Assisted GPS (A-GPS) which lets N95 users connect to a dedicated Nokia server, to get satellite fixes in seconds rather than minutes.

I sent my Nokia N95 back to T-Mobile last month to get the GPS and a problem with the call quality fixed. Unfortunately my N95 has come back with exactly the same problems, so I’ve got to send it back again.
Update: Just spoken to T-Mobile and apparently a lot of N95s have been suffering [...]
