Tiscali yesterday made posted details on their 2005-2007 plan, which included some interesting information on their Local Loop Unbundling (LLU) plans:

Committing EUR90m/£61m to LLU in the UK over three years
Will be spent on a ’selective unbundled network’ i.e. cherry picking the most attractive areas

Easynet announced last week that they will carry out a trial of ADSL2 and ADSL2+ technologies allowing speeds of up to 24Mbps, with the full launch of services in before the end of 2005.

1Mb is fast becoming the standard access speed for Broadband in the UK. Further signs of this were seen when last week Tiscali scrapped their 256k service and lowered the price of their 512k service from £19.99 to £15.99, making it their entry-level product and also offering two new 1Mb products
