Windows Live Beta Invites Being Sold On eBay
I would love to get an invite to the Windows Live Messenger 8 beta (dropping a big hint if anyone takes pity on me - everton@connectedinternet.co.uk!) but I’m not desperate enough to pay for one. Once again eBay has proven that you can create a market for anything and invites are appearing for [...]

Microsoft and Yahoo! are expected to announce later on today that their two instant messaging programs will become interoperable. A combined 49.2 million users worldwide will be able to chat and talk to each other for free - very close to AOL’s 51.5 million.
For years the three companies have been talking about allowing interoperability, [...]
Funny Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer Videos
I would love to meet Steve Ballmer as every comment he makes is so hilarious. Epic Empire has collated some of Steve’s and Bill’s best moments, including a crazy windows TV advert Steve did in 1986.How on earth did this guy become the CEO of the largest company in the world? I know [...]

Microsoft’s Start.com To Launch Fully On September 15th?
It looks like Microsoft’s beta RSS reader start.com will be launching fully on 15th September. This isn’t surprising as with the addition of roaming and bookmarks in the last release, this became a fully functional homepage.It’ll be interesting to see what the commercial model for the full service will be as the beta has [...]

Kevin Burton reports that Microsoft are looking at new names for RSS. At the moment they are calling them “web feeds” but they are open to other suggestions.

Microsoft’s Beta RSS Reader Start.com Adds Roaming
Start.com, Microsoft’s cool beta RSS reader have just added the ability for accounts to roam using MSN Passport.

start.com/1 -> released in March 05
start.com/2 -> released in April 05
start.com/3 -> released in June 05
start.com/4 -> overdue???????
I really [...]
