Vaja Cases - Great Customer Service
After moaning about Vonage earlier today, I wanted to share an example of great customer service. I recently purchased a Vaja case for my Video iPod and I’m very happy with it apart from one very small problem, which is that it is very hard to get my iPod out of the case.
I received [...]
iPod Domination Extends To The Royal Navy
I'm not going to get into a debate about whether the Royal Navy are spending my taxes wisely, as if I did I'd probably have a bigger beef with the army for the money they are wasting in Iraq. But, Om Malik reports that the Royal Navy's latest warship has been kitted out with ipod [...]

I decided to get some new ringtones to freshen up my phone and I was amazed by how much mobile companies charge for what are essentially 15-30 second clips, so I decided to make my own. I’ve posted below how I did this if you want to make your own mp3 ringtones.

Microsoft is working on plans to develop its own rival to the iPod, a departure from its current strategy of concentrating on developing media player software for other manufacturers, BusinessWeek reports.

Starbucks To Sell MP3s As Well As Coffee
In what I think will be a very smart move, Starbucks are looking into selling mp3s.
It recently opened CD burning stations at its coffee houses in five US cities and found that customers linger longer as a result.
'That experience can go anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes as they continue to browse and listen and [...]

I've just found a new tool for tidying up iTunes Album Art. Just upload your iTunes XML file to Artie, and this site analyses which cds
you're missing album art for. It then gets all the covers from Amazon
and displays them all.
It doesn't automatically add the art, that has to be done manually so if [...]

One of the problems with classical music is I like it but I don’t know a lot about it, so I can never buy CDs. One of my friends was in the same boat, then he came up with a good idea to make at least one classical compilation CD that he likes - [...]

The CEO of high street music retailer HMV and Waterstones bookstores has resigned after poor sales over Christmas period, citing increased online competition from Amazon and iTunes. I don’t know how this mp3 player slipped under my radar, but I’ve just discovered MediaMonkey which boasts some impressive inbuilt tagging features.
MediaMonkey can fix tags and album art with information from Amazon, Freedb, CD-Text and Allmusic. Tags can also be manually edited.
It also syncs with popular media players like iPods. Apparently it [...]
Xbox360 Will Never Support DivX According to Major Nelson
Major Nelson of Xbox Live fame, who is also a Microsoft employee, recently stated that the Xbox360 will never support DivX. And the reason why? Because DivX is primarily used to “backup” DVDs and Microsoft don’t want to get involved in this contentious area.
If this is the official view from Microsoft it’s complete [...]
