Internet Doubles In Size In Just 2 Years, And Now Exceeds 100m Websites

According to a new survey, the Internet has just reached and passed 100m websites.
This year alone an additional 27.4 million sites have appeared on the net, compared to 17m in 2005. 2005’s growth of 17 million.
This means that the internet has doubled in size in just 2 years.

Netcraft launch Firefox anti-phishing toolbar

Netcraft launched earlier this week a Firefox version of its anti-phishing toolbar. The toolbar seeks to thwart threats by blocking access to reported phishing sites. Once the first recipients of a phishing email report the URL of a fake site, the site is blocked for toolbar users.
