I Need Help Importing Emails Into GMail
I made the switch yesterday to using GMail to pick up all my emails but I’m having problems importing my old emails. I’ve found two tools that could do the job, but I can’t find a download that works.
The two services I found were GMail Loader and gExodus. If anyone has a copy of [...]
Firefox Tip: How To Stop Flash Popups
Firefox has a decent enough popup blocker built-in, but like most blockers it doesn’t stop Flash popups. To fix this do the following:
Type about:config into the Firefox address bar.
Right-click on the page and select New and then Integer.
Name it privacy.popups.disable_from_plugins
Set the value to 2
The possible values are:

Why is no-one challenging Apple’s domination of mp3s?
start.com is so sexy
Ok, I’ve changed my mind already. This may have been around for a while, but I’ve only just discovered start.com which is in its 3rd release. I’ve switched my homepage to start as it is so fast -much faster than any other RSS reader I’ve used. The interface is so nice and clean [...]

The Guardian Newsblog is providing up to date reports from the chaos that combines the strength of the mainstream press with the imediacy of blogging.
The whole London transport network is down - it’s impossible to even get a cab. I just spoke to my brother’s wife as I wasn’t able to get through to [...]
London Explosion Latest
I’ve just realised that it must be hard for those of you who are overseas to find out what is going on as the phone networks, both fixed and mobile, are struggling. To keep up to date with what is happening you can watch live coverage on the web at http://news.bbc.co.uk. So far [...]

Well, I’ve taken the plunge and signed up for Vonage.  I was hesitant about paying the £10 per month fixed charge as I tend to use my mobile phone more than my fixed line, but once I saw the international rates I was sold.
I know that Skype may provide better international rates, but I’ve [...]
