My decision to allow anonymous comments seems to have resulted in a lot of comment spam again - I’m deleting about 50 a day which is manageable.
I’m not quite sure why they do it? Are there hidden links in the posts in an attempt to increase the page rank of some Viagra site somewhere?

Engadget using Technorati/Cosmos
After recently removing Trackbacks because of spam, Engadget have just added Technorati/Cosmos to their site.
I don’t reallly see though how this is better than trackbacks for controlling spam? Surely Cosmos can be abused the same way as Trackbacks?
I’ve also found Technorati to not be 100% reliable at picking up links.
