Wikipedia The Number 1 Online News Site

Recent data from Hitwise shows that Wikipedia has five times more traffic than Yahoo News, Google News and BBC online.It’s amazing how fast Wikipedia is growing, but I guess having literally thousands of contributors can’t help, as well as high rankings in search engines.

Podcast Added To The Oxford English Dictionary

The Oxford English Dictionary will add podcast to its second edition.
The editors said that words like podcast, wiki and phishing are part of the english language and reflect the growing influence of technology on daily life.
The Dictionary defines a podcast as:
” a broadcast that can be downloaded from the Internet to a personal audio player.”

Wikipedia Mobile Analysis

Wikipedia’s have produced a list of the Largest Mobile Phone Companies and I was amazed to see that Vodafone is no longer the largest, although they are still the most profitable. Here’s the full list:
